Working at Rocky Mountain Health Plans has given me experience with diverse consumers and products. I have sold small group, large group, fully insured, partially self-funded, individual, and "Shared Funding" products. Most sales were wholesale through relationships with assigned brokers and consultants. As a regional not for profit company I learned the importance of financial and risk analysis. Relationship management, along with accurate analysis, allowed me to consistently be the top producer for the company. I'm passionate about developing relationships, diving deep in the information, and finding unique and creative solutions.

I served on the company Wellness Committee; coordinating wellness activities and engaging employees in the Denver office. I enjoyed participating in various health related activities and was glad to have an employer so committed to wellness. Having experience implementing various external programs with employers and brokers, I learned that a successful program starts with support from the top. Everyone's wellness goals are different, but achieving any goal starts with a plan and a first step. RMHP was named a Well Workplace by the Wellness Councils of America.

This was my first job out of college. I made a lot of lasting friendships there. I learned first hand the importance of providing exceptional customer service. Since group health insurance is one of the largest costs for employers, rate increases and service issues are taken very personally. Turning an uncomfortable situation into an opportunity was one of my favorite parts of the job. Some of my most productive external relationships started because something went completely wrong, and someone needed help.
