Additionally, I have furthered my skills in word processing and a use of digital media to promote publications and bring articles to a wider audience.I enhanced my skills in digital media and website design, having built the website and promoting it on various social media and I have further developed research skills in generating interesting and accessible articles for a wide range of audiences.In the next few years I plan to develop Scitales into a wider brand with the focus on making science accessible and relevant to as many people as possible. This development will first see the design and implementation of science workshops for children in my local area. I also hope to develop the range of communication materials available on my website, including podcasts and revision guides. Show less

Donor support allows Highgate to offer bursary places to children in both our Senior and Junior School and support our partner state schools, including the award-winning London Academy of Excellence Tottenham. My responsibilities and achievements in this role included:1) Leading on the inception, development and delivery of fundraising campaigns and events. A particular highlight of this work was delivering Highgate’s first two ‘Giving Days’ – 36-hour fundraising events bringing together digital fundraising platforms and in-person sponsored challenges. These events raised over £500,000, which represented over 30% of the School’s philanthropic income in 2022 and 2023. I project managed these annual events, which have now become a fixture in Highgate’s calendar.2) Producing innovative and engaging communications, including infographics, video clips and written pieces, to engage varied stakeholders with Highgate's charitable work.3) Producing the School’s annual charitable impact reports for a wide variety of audiences, such as senior leadership and governors, donors and volunteers, the Charity Commission, the Independent School Council and The Department for Education.4) Managing the Development Office database, which records all donations made to the School and every digital and in-person engagement with over 9,000 constituents. 5) Managing the existing alumni society website while overseeing the development of a new core website and professional networking directory. The latter websites were built using the Wordpress architecture and further developed my competence with content management systems and designing websites which balance institutional objectives with an efficient user experience.
