In one life, I wrote for a hard-copy business magazine, traveling Texas and interviewing CEOs, celebrities and Hall-of-Fame athletes-turned-entrepreneurs. I learned how to interview and write from old-school pros before that era passed away. RIP.After that, I was able to catch the wave of irrational exuberance that transformed a modest book publisher into a hot internet start-up, and the force propelled my career from writer to manager of editorial teams. Cowabunga! I then jumped into the blue waters of corporate communications because I had a chance to work for one of FORTUNE Magazine’s Best 100 Companies to Work For. Those days seem like caviar and high seas cruises to me. (Maybe because our whole company took an all-expenses-paid cruise to Cozumel while getting paid!
