Jacqui Small specialises in high-end commercial non-fiction focusing on cookery, drinks, interiors, and lifestyle titles. Our small editorial team publishes over 30 titles a year, working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, where organisation, attention to detail and enthusiasm are key. My responsibilities include:- Working closely with the Managing Editor and Commissioning Editors to manage titles through the whole publishing process, from acquisition to publication- Copy-editing and project editing titles- Proofreading and copy-editing text, proofs and jacket copy- Writing jacket, catalogue and AI copy, as well as managing the creation of all the Jacqui Small blads and catalogues- Main editorial contact for the Sales, Marketing and Publicity departments, providing the most up-to-date material in order to hit key deadlines- Providing agent and author care- Hiring and managing editorial interns- Supplying reprint correction files to Production- Picture research for food, drinks, interiors titles and copyright clearance- Managing and updating the metadata fed to databases such as Stison and Firebrand (covers, blurbs, spec information etc.)- Organising and co-ordinating photo shoots and assisting the Art Directors in situ- Processing invoices, keeping a log alongside the Accounts department- Processing contracts and freelancer engagement forms- Organising the material used by the editorial team for the London Book Fair, Frankfurt Book Fair and Book Expo America- Full administrative support for the Publisher, Commissioning Editors, Managing Editor and Foreign Rights Manager
