From the start of my tenure, Joel has been a mentor and a professional that I’ve looked up. As a “green” Client Sales Executive, there is a lot to take in, but Joel, as a mentor, was able to guide my hiring class on what it takes to drive success, in a simple and distilled focus plan. He was able to easily break down the “why” behind of every action, every meeting, and every proposal, and this allowed for my hiring class to drive more business for the organization than what was expected of our “ramp plans.” He continually was and is an overachiever, and he is a self-aware communicator, that can share best practices that deliver results. It’s this credibility, this “proof in the pudding,” that has garnered Joel such respect from me and throughout SAP Concur as a whole. As a professional and a leader, Joel operates with a level of selflessness and integrity that is infrequently matched by any other leaders I’ve had the pleasure of working with in my career in technology.
