Established a new proof that the sought after densities (e.g. tissues, tumors) can be recovered from data (e.g. x-ray tomograms). The resulting paper was included in the Highlights of 2012 Collection in Inverse Problems, and an extended version has been requested for Advances in Imaging & Electron Physics.-Presented new and improved results in the theory of compressive sensing that is used to seek possible sparse representations of high-dimensional data. The resulting paper has been cited in books and other related articles.-Applied diffusion geometry methods to sort and cluster high-dimensional data sets, such as thousands of electron microscopy images of viruses, stock prices and parameterizations of medical data. Programmed highly automated Matlab software.-Study automated image reconstruction from electron micrographs. Create Matlab programs and use generated and real data to evaluate different methods. Develop new reconstruction methods.
