My career began in 2011 with Nationwide Insurance as an Underwriter, handling newly written Homeowners policies. Within the Raleigh corporate office I earned a reputation of consistent performance, quality work product, and likability among my peers and management. After four job promotions I earned a role in Claims as a Casualty Adjuster, resolving and settling large-loss property and bodily injury liability claims.With sights set on sales and account management, I then transitioned to BB&T Insurance as a Producer, inside sales. Quality performance led me to an opportunity as an Account Manager/Producer with independently-owned Highsmith Insurance. One year in, a sudden acquisition by the Marsh & Mclennan conglomerate left me undecided on whether to continue on with new management or to pave a new path!Ultimately, a great opportunity in the construction industry, a field of personal interest, with national building materials supplier BMC maneuvered me into Program Manager/Outside Sales Rep for the BMC James Hardie Platinum Program, a pioneer collaboration between BMC and siding manufacturer James Hardie. Central role responsibilities include new business development, maximizing and broadening product-line usage for existing clients, serving as a product-expert resource for our general sales force and sales support, and creation of sales programs and initiatives to actively drive sales, margin and profit for BMC across James Hardie product lines.
