Hired on in the computer department as a Computer Operator and in 1 year, I was working on a detail and my title was Computer Systems Analyst and Programmer. Worked in that area for a period of 4 years and due to a death in the family, lost time in my job position. I was currently at a grade GS-1210 Step 7 and they pushed me back into the Operations department as a Grade 7 Step 10. That didn't deter me from bettering myself and was finally able to reach the highest grade I've always wanted and knew I deserved. I was moved up to a GS-1210-12 Step 7 before retiring on August 31, 2014. I had an extensive education while I was there and it was now time for me to go out into the world of Retirement.

Lead machinist, operating lathes, mills, drill presses, numerically controlled lathe and N/C Bridgeport mill and supervised a group of 5 other beginners. Worked on F18 radar equipment and other job shop projects that came through our manager.
