Skills• Emergence surveys (vantage point), dusk and dawn.• Transect surveys.• Use of Batbox Duet/Batbox II and Anabat detectors (SD1 has been used with GPS unit doing transect or ground coverage surveys and Anabat Express for in-situ backup on vantage point surveys).• Species and behaviour identification from sight and sound.• Species identification and behaviour by sound analysis using Analook.• Risk assessment for the presence of bats - ability to scope buildings for the potential presence of bats.
