Hello! My name is Joel, and I am a dedicated part-time student at La Trobe University, pursuing a double major in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. Alongside my studies, I work full-time as an Animal Laboratory Technologist. Additionally, I have over four years of experience as a professional freelance rock climbing coach and instructor, and I have been a freelance route setter for about 1.5 years.What Defines Me:I am passionate about hands-on work and excel at learning on the job. My strengths lie in performing routine tasks efficiently and continuously seeking ways to enhance productivity.In my role as Head Coach/Instructor at various climbing gyms in Singapore, I managed teams of part-timers, trained new members, and ensured smooth workflow integration. During my tenure at A*STAR as a Lab Technician and Deputy Shift Lead during the COVID-19 period, I was responsible for overseeing lab operations, managing sample workflows, and ensuring timely and accurate results. My role required seamless coordination between workstations and assisting each station to ensure the entire operation ran smoothly.Passion:I am driven by a passion for scientific research and a love for teaching and coaching.
