My role, whilst working at the Odeon, was as a Senior Sales Assistant, which consists of providing a friendly and consistent service to all customers, whilst hitting KPI targets set by the business, in various retail areas.Given the nature of the industry, it is imperative that during the very small window of time in which we deal with customers, we have to provide excellent service, in the most efficient manner possible. This ensures we gain repeat custom and can build a loyal customer base. My job is to provide a friendly and consistent service to every customer I meet, which meant I had to have outstanding communication skills. This has led to me developing a very healthy working relationship with the team around me and a great rapport with the customers. Furthermore, I have been able to develop great time management and efficiency skills in a fast paced, high-pressured environment.Another part of my role requires me to ensure that a healthy level of stock is maintained and that the stock is monitored and accounted for. Placing weekly orders for stock requires me to analyse the current stock and project what we would need to order. I also ensured that I researched which films were being released and how that could impact attendance and potential sales. Our store's success is, for the most part, assessed by key performance indicators and revenue targets, for each week. I enjoy working to targets and am not fazed by them, rather I thrive on the enjoyment of attempting to surpass them, when possible. There are also four quarterly, unannounced store visits, to ensure that Odeon's brand standards are maintained. I have personally achieved three very high passes of 98.9%, 95% and 96.7%, on each of my assessments. I believe that this can be attributable to my consistent attention to detail, ensuring that the highest of standards are upheld, at all times. Show less
