My reinsurance career began in 2002 as a broker with Benfield in Atlanta, Georgia. I traveled far and wide during those wonderful 8 years with Benfield, including a short stint in London. My clients were principally Southeast US insurers so the bulk of my coverage was from Texas to Virginia. In addition to learning the principals of insurance and reinsurance during my tenure, travels through the South bolstered my fondness of American football and Southern food!My years with Benfield afforded me the ability to build rapport with an array of reinsurers around the globe. Early in 2010, I accepted a position with highly-regarded Ariel Re (in Bermuda) as their newest US Property Reinsurance Underwriter, a position that I cherished for nearly 5 years.As Ariel Re grew (in age and size), the need to expand the Company's geographic presence also grew. In the Fall of 2014, I joined the International Property Reinsurance team and have since enjoyed year after year of professional and personal development. The International portfolio is now 2.5x larger than it was when I became the Head of International in 2017.
