Project Manager: managed multiple new product development projects dealing with multiple departments to hit project deadlines. Increased productivity and cost reduction through interactions with Material Variance Reports (MVR’s) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s). Designed and tested a replacement for a current product already on the market. Developed the test procedures, worked with vendors to get quotes and prototype parts, built prototypes and tested them. Collaborated with different departments to implement the new product into manufacturing. Created and maintained Bill of Materials in Autodesk Vault and in the MRP system. Researched ASTM, ISO, UL and CGA specifications to help control valve components coming in the door to ensure quality designed products going out of the door. Managed cost reduction projects between purchasing and manufacturing engineering to validate new suppliers’ products. Completed cycle testing, temperature testing, hydro-static testing, gas compatibility testing and various other testing of products inside and outside the facility to verify design changes dealing with material compatibility and performance improvements. Designed a drop in solution for a VIPR (Valve with integrated Pressure Regulator) and followed through with production to implement the changes. Designed a solution to reduce rework on production valves assembled on an automated assembly machine. Designed a valve for high purity applications that would rival the competition's product.

Assemble automobiles and fabricated various components

Worked with the dual source team Involved in over ten new component introduction projects at GE Transportation. Was a part of two change orders involved with changing material call outs on the specified drawings. Assisted a team member with an engineering specification review for high pressure fuel lines on the FDL engine.

Designed and 3D modeled a hydraulic dumper for a production facility to dump 5,000 lbs. Assisted in the design of various components for a 27,000 lb. drop hammer. Was the head researcher for gathering information on a possible new product. Compared more than ten 3D laser scans with the part’s STP file to insure production facility was producing parts to specification. Involved with testing the prototype draft gears and cataloged the data. Worked in 5 different production facilities to learn reconditioning and production of side bearings, yokes, couplers, draft gears, brake beams, wheel sets, side frames, blusters, and rail cars.

Reverse Engineered 4 prototype spine plates with a CMM and SolidWorks. Refined a design of a bone screw head in order to prevent failure upon installation. Fabricated components for students and professors with a lathe and milling machines.

Rebuilt and outfitted a 19’ Pontoon boat for forensic marine inspections. Completed case research involving a parasailing vessel and a kayak. Developed devices that would help make paddle craft more conspicuous to larger vessels. In full scuba gear, mapped the bottom of a lake for depth and sudden drop-offs to analyze if injury could have been averted in an active case. Conducted research involving collisions between boats and personal water craft, boat to boat, and boat to object collisions.
