Being the only intern at the plant has taught me the value of setting deadlines for myself and asking for assistance from more experienced people.

As a member of the design team on Dream Team Engineering, I have had the opportunity to work alongside amazing, intuitive fellow engineering students at the University of Florida. Dream Team Engineering is a nonprofit organization aimed at creating, designing, and improving engineered solutions for UF Shands Hospital by improving patient care via medical devices.

I cofounded this team with my close friend, Liam Livingston, as a way for UF students to gain hands-on experience with technical aspects of mechanical engineering. As a student, a lot of the learning we do is in the classroom with very few labs offered throughout the curriculum to learn through physical models. Swamp Racing Team offers a competitive, fun environment for students who would like to learn outside of the classroom and learn valuable skills pertaining to modifications, repairs, and performance upgrades on automobiles.
