Part of a UNIX Platform support team supporting a 10,000+ server environment whose functions include consulting, solution engineering, demand review, and server build & decommissionRoles & Responsibilities:-Build Engineering Lead: Work with various engineering teams to identify and resolve current issues (platform/software/process gaps) within environment & develop and implement solutions in order to deliver on-time quality solutions for our business partners- Patch Certification Engineer: Test, certify, and bundle latest Linux security patches & enhancements for delivery in order to ensure a secure and stable environment.-Documentation lead: Work closely with various teams to research, plan, write, update and publish documentation In order to increase team collaboration and efficiency. -Decommission Lead: Facilitate internal server decommission process in order to simplify/standardize current environment.-Data Analyst: Create various reports to help both understand current environment and allow team to make critical business decisions.

-Upgraded the current technical infrastructure of Purchasing Associations of Central Alabama (PACA) web portal in order to increase maintainability of site-Customized web portal by enabling users to search for products, track contract usage, and solicit new bids in order to increase usage of the portal by current members and increase total number of members-Enhanced current reporting capabilities in order to comply with current regulatory requirements

-Increase prescription volume by 400 per week over the past 4 years by ensuring excellent customer service and filling prescriptions quickly and accurately.-Ensure accuracy of product inventory by assisting Pharmacist in verifying and updating quantities into the system-Increase effectiveness of workflow by assisting in training of new employees in pharmacy procedures

-designed methodology to digitize and update current plant-site documentation to save company time and money-Improved efficiency of searching for digitized documentation by running scanned-in drawings and manuals through OCR (searchable text) software. -Resolved issues with malfunctioning PDM (partial discharge monitoring) control panels by communicating with IRIS technical support and working with IRIS technician to correct those issues

-Recognized the opportunity to improve the ongoing digitizing of plant operation and maintenance documents. -Researched, evaluated, and recommended best OCR software solution to enable easier and faster access to plant information.-Managed data backup for plant site to ensure up-to-date adequate data

-Wrote requisitions for plant lighting, updated drawings, and assisted in install of lighting to improve work productivity, and increase safety on the plant floor-Ensured accurate up-to-date schematics & drawings by updating them using CAD software-Assisted with install of PDM (partial discharge monitoring) system at the plant site. Responsible for requisitioning computer hardware and networking for the PDM project
