CurrentDirect public policy and government affairs for Signature Medical Group, Inc., a physician-owned, multi-specialty practice of 140 physicians and over 1,000 employees serving the greater St. Louis and Kansas City areas and rural Missouri. Represent Signature's national managed care company, Signature Care Management in federal policymaking with Congress, federal regulators and other key healthcare policy leaders. Key responsibilities:• Represent Signature Medical Group interests and its mission in the areas of governmental policy through outreach, advocacy coordination and relationship building with a broad range of stakeholders, including health care professionals and opinion leaders, employers, regulatory officials and legislators at the state and federal levels, policy experts, trade associations and the public. • Develop and advance public policy strategies at the state and federal levels that support improved health outcomes for the community at lower cost through the independent practice of medicine. Led strategy and drafting of official positions on federal and state healthcare regulations, proposed programmatic changes and legislative proposals and bills. Manage/oversee federal and state contract lobbyists. • Promote the thought-leadership of Signature physicians and executives in healthcare policy and practice and foster public dialogue on the relevance of evidenced-based medicine and physician-led care in achieving improved health outcomes.• Oversee development and implementation of communication, marketing and community engagement strategies that advance the mission of Signature Medical Group, its medical practices and physicians.• Directed team focused on building the Signature Medical Group and Signature Care Management brands locally, regionally and nationally, as innovative healthcare organizations, serving the community with high quality, affordable healthcare services.
