This job required immediate decision-making and critical thinking in intense situations as factors such as intoxication, theft and underage customers are a daily occurrence that pose challenges and threats that must be handled appropriately. This role involved stock management, service of alcohol, and in my case, a temporary responsibility in managing the store and staff.This position taught me the importance of decisive thinking and trusting my instincts in quick interactions, as well as how to handle and de-escalate stressful and aggressive situations with particular customers.Additionally, I learnt sales techniques, understanding each product and knowing what each customer's needs are. This made my time at BWS enjoyable and successful, finding the perfect product for a customer was a joy which helped develop my skills in producing sales for the company.
