Station Operator, Unit Operator Upgrade in FGD for the flue gas end (scrubber) of a coal/gas fired boiler. Duties include maintaining proper pH's, flue gas temps., proper pump alignment, adhering to guidelines per EPA, cross-tying 480 volt & 6.9Kv power centers, troubleshooting issues with process equipment and Safety Senator to 10 crew members. Also responsible for maintaining pumps (work orders & oil additions), high pressure sootblowers & isolation valves , gas burners, racking (in/out) 480 volt & 6.9KV breakers and power centers, condensers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, vacuum pumps, 3 stage / oxidation air compressors, chillers, pulverizers, high pressure oil pumps, and oil reservoirs. Tasks include off / loading H2 (hydrogen gas), NH3 (ammonia) and CO2 (carbon dioxide) tanker trucks, adhering to strict lock out/ tag out procedures, maintaining a waste treatment plant discharging to the St. Johns River, precipitators, compressed air/dryers, along with daily clean-ups and equipment checklists. Frequently working with maintanance department on PMs and repairs. Perform (de)gassing of generators with compressed air, co2 & h2 gas. Able to research, construct and perform safety meetings along with implementing a work related trivia contest during tailboards.

Operational watch-dog for a calcine pet / sponge - coke board operator. Duties include 3 waste-heat boilers, pumps, process conveyors, product elevators, high pressure steam lines, valves and system line-ups. Heavy-equipment operator (front-end loaders, forklift, railcar (un)loading, bobcat, and trakmobile ). Basic laboratory skills checking boiler water quality. ISO auditor for plant to be compliant with customer's standards. Frequent use with N2 in process area.

Wet and dry analysis of food oils. Performed daily quality checks of raw & finished food oils along with calculating and measuring additives per specifications. Issued lot numbers to production department per specifications. Tasks include GLC'S, AOM's, SFI'S, mono's, IV's , melting points, industrial waste treatment sampling and testing . Assigned afternoon shift as lead technician without supervision. Trained and participated in plant-wide first aid response team.
