I collaborate with other gaming studios on building and releasing F2P (Free-to-play) mobile games.Since my landlord doesn't accept complementary in-app items instead of rent, I am a consultant (product management) with a couple of gaming and edtech startups. I am currently explaining NFTs to the landlord and grocer so they can invest in my game assets, but their eyes glaze over when I say 'early adopters'. They seem quite satisfied with money instead of NFTs, I just don't… Show more I collaborate with other gaming studios on building and releasing F2P (Free-to-play) mobile games.Since my landlord doesn't accept complementary in-app items instead of rent, I am a consultant (product management) with a couple of gaming and edtech startups. I was looking into product direction and analysis for games within the Ultimate Games portfolio. Most of my time was devoted to taking Ultimate RummyCircle Free to a top-15 grossing game on Android in India, with 5M+ installs. That included keeping an eye on key metrics to find out why things are going good or bad, coming up with new features to meet the short and long term needs of the product and... spending a fair amount of time within the game, to "better understand player… Show more I was looking into product direction and analysis for games within the Ultimate Games portfolio. Independent Game Developer
I spent my time building COMPLETELY new gaming experiences, thinking that people were waiting for a sweet release from Candy Crush and that they would run to my super better games. Yeah. That did NOT end well. If you're in the process of building the next big game, I'd be happy to help you out in freemium product and game design. Why burn your time and money on known failed paths in game dev? Team Leader
What I did was pretty simple. Led a team into chasing elusive, far-fetched Interactive TV concepts in the wild, and tie them down in documents and early prototypes! More importantly, helped a fantastic team of guys become self-reliant and inclusive explorers, and who investigate each of their ideas along the line of potential business models.
Technical Leader
I was responsible for team training and ensuring that the technical design of the games were upto the mark and with no inherent flaws. Luckily for me, our team has an annoying but helpful ability to learn quickly and manage themselves.I've also had the pleasure of being a game designer for a couple of games, one of which was for the Indian market. In addition, I am now working on developing an engine that will help us deliver better games for our proprietary middleware.
Senior S/W Engineer
NDS decided to promote me after it looked like I was having too much fun there. Apparently it wasnt fair that while everyone else worked hard, a few of the guys got to enjoy themselves. So, I was given the additional responsibility of training new members and guiding them in all things game-worldly.This was also the time we began experimenting with Agile, and found it to really help share the learning. And now, we're firm advocates of it with whichever teams we work with here!… Show more NDS decided to promote me after it looked like I was having too much fun there. We've also had quite a lot of fun and excellent experience trying to bring in 3D and advanced audio functionality into Set Top Boxes. I wouldnt say we failed, we did get somewhere... but not enough. It definitely helped us develop better tools for games dev though. Show less
S/W Engineer
This was my first real stint at a job in the casual games arena! I have always been proud of my first game (Speedspell) delivered to Sky Italia. I moved on to develop games for Foxtel(Australia), and eventually for Sky Italia, Foxtel and Austar.
Part-Time Artist
While at college, we were trying to develop a game called Xtreme Forces. Me and a couple of other guys were tasked with coming up with 3D meshes for use in the game. Together, a team of approximately eight, we moved from one milestone to the next, learning as we progressed.A good learning experience where we caught a glimpse of the true face of life and the Indian games dev industry.
