My career has taken many turns over the last 30 years but each experience adds to the next. Moving from hardware asset management to procurement and then to support allowed me to see all of the elements that keep equipment running at a business along with planning for future upgrades and forecasting costs to manage budgets. Going into software support then being part of a development organization gave me even more insight of what is needed to help people work with the equipment provided. User experience, change management and training all play a vital part in the long term and my experience with each of these allows a multifaceted view on the operational needs of a business. Add my experience as team lead, supervisor and manager that helped me gain skills in helping people succeed and grow as well as the less joyful duties of discipline and separation procedures (a necessary but difficult part of growth as a manager). As a Warrant Officer for the Georgia Department of Defense, I lead soldiers to accomplish missions during disaster relief and training exercises. Leading and developing people is the same regardless of the uniform worn and I find the greatest fulfillment in watching my team succeed and then going on to lead others.Over 30 years of widely varied experiences has prepared me for whatever comes along in the next chapter of my career and I am looking forward to growing with a company where I can add my considerable skills to their growth potential.
