Joe started his insurance claim career with General Motors Insurance and received his technical auto training with General Motors Institute of Technology in Flint MI. From there Joe moved into a postion with Crum & Forster Insurance where he stayed for 13 years and was responsible for Auto Physical Damage Claims. He accepted a postion with Atlantic Mutual Insurance and remained there for 12 years as the Assistant Vice President of Claims and Vice President of Atlantic Risk Services . Joe was responsible for Auto Claims, National Recovery, Sale of Claim Services and SIU. While at Atlantic Mutual Joe developed and implemented a centralized claim operation that included; Claims Call Center, Physical Damage, and Liability units, and was instrumental in the creation and implementation of a claims " Run Off" unit for commercial claims. This included the facilitation of closing 12 field offices countrywide with the emphasis on accessing run-off reserves and still provide effective claim handling.
