I was part of ING's Environmental Programme from where the bank drives its operational sustainability. I guided the yearly environmental data collection process and provided potential improvements in newly designed country dashboards. Simultaneously I wrote my thesis on 'the key success factors of an internal carbon fee' for my MSc Energy and Environmental Sciences.

The Holland Innovation Challenge is an integral part of the Holland Pavilion at the World Expo in Kazakhstan, from June 10 to September 10 2017. In the months before the Expo, mixed teams, consisting of Dutch and Kazakh talents (students & young professionals), will work together with Dutch companies to get new innovations implemented in Kazakhstan. As chairman of the Beta-Business Days (BBD) I was responsible for the organisation of the two-day career event. The event bridges the gap between bèta-students and business as their future employers. Through company presentations, workshops and case studies, the two parties get acquainted in an interactive way and students are prepared for their future steps to take. The BBD are visited each year by about 500 enthusiastic students.

As a student member of the board I represent the Bachelor students close to the process where major education-related decisions are made. It also puts you in touch with student associations and have an advisory / supportive role towards the education committees within the faculty.
