I own the Business Unit Security Signals (BUSS) program for the Dedicated Security Team. We collect and analyze automated security data to determine which orgs have risk reduction opportunities. This program provides security posture indicators for over 700 leaders across Amazon Stores leveraging internal security tooling as sensors. The security signals are used to decide how to allocate resources across Stores. I implemented Agile Sprints for project monitoring and tracking across the team. I created the project tracking and metrics system based upon SIM which utilizes AWS Lambda, RedShift, Python code, and QuickSight for dashboarding.

I created the Business Security program for the Dedicated Security Team (DST). This program implemented organizational change by expanding the scope of the DST team beyond the role of integrating outside acquisitions. The expanded team now also addresses the security needs of internal Amazon Business Units (BU) that lack assigned security resources. The scope of the DST team went from 35 BUs to 250+ and included a new phased BU engagement methodology. We approached the challenge by executing a proof of concept and once the methodology proved successful we implemented the program team wide. I created all the program documentation including the concept document, program document, operational plan, training materials, tracking system, and ran the weekly leadership update meetings. I also created the DST metrics and tracking program using AWS services. This program provides quantitative security integration progress metrics for acquired and non-acquired business units. All Amazon business units under Stores we engage use these metrics.

I support the Dedicated Security, Security Platform Management, and Mergers & Acquisitions teams. I manage the operations budget planning process, staff and all hands meetings, produce hiring and budget metrics, and coordinate all programs and document production for the director.

I created the Network Security Program for Customer Fulfillment Technical Security (CFTS) in World Wide Operations. The Network Security program covers security reviews and approvals for systems, services or technologies accessing Facility Center and Industrial Control System infrastructure. It reviews, assesses and audits network security controls that protect FC business teams. We identify network security controls and tooling requirements to control network access to authorized and authenticated employees, vendors, systems and services. I developed several programs for security compliance, monitoring, and alarming of network access anomalies. I supported security consultations (threat modeling, risk and vulnerability assessments, secure network infrastructure and service design, etc) and Information Security Policy interpretation and exception advocacy. I also developed and got VP approval for the Robotics Strategy Security policy and the Remote Access Security policy.

I supported, provided oversight, leadership and guidance for Information Technology in support of Operational Technology security compliance. I facilitated the design, maintenance, and cyber security accreditation of the Industrial Controls Network for Navy Region Northwest which covered all Navy bases in the Pacific Northwest such as Bangor, Bremerton, Everett, and Whidbey Island. Evaluated the impact of new IT guidance on current programs and recommend changes to plans and policies to ensure compliance. Reviewed IT programs using project management principles to develop plans, schedules and resources required for assigned projects. Performed needs analyses to define opportunities, established a comprehensive quality assurance program for file backup, recovery, equipment maintenance, and quality control. My team successfully accredited the Navy Region NW industrial controls network. Notable projects are listed below:• Lead Industrial Control Systems (ICS) team, under my supervision became one of only two commands in NAVFAC to successfully accredit the ICS Platform Enclave network under a DIACAP. The network has an ATO authorized by NetWarCom.• Designed the ICS wide area network architecture. The design emphasizes availability while maintaining cyber security control. The ICS network serves the entire Northwest Puget Sound region. The design includes the IP address space, domain structure, routing, switching, firewall, DMZ, and VLANs.• Cyber security project lead for the $30 million RM Energy project that upgraded ICS services at over 200 buildings for energy savings and security. Wrote Justification and Approvals for operational services, reviewed specifications, set Information Assurance requirements, and upgraded IT services.

Ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner with a high quality of workmanship.• Evaluate new ICS projects, perform cost benefit analysis, and create life cycle management plans. • Assisted with development of the Regional Guide Specification which is used to ensure IA compliance for all new ICS capital projects. • Supervise two teams: Online Resource Center and Industrial Control System Compliance.• Created a one day hands-on technology skills enhancement class known as the Workplace Efficiency Lab. This class is being used as the model for computer literacy development throughout NAVFAC and has consistently received high evaluation ratings.

• Designed the ICS wide area network architecture. The design emphasizes availability while maintaining cyber security control. The ICS network serves the entire Northwest Puget Sound region. The design includes the IP address space, domain structure, routing, switching, firewall, DMZ, and VLANs.• Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program Manager, lead technical expert for information assurance, network connectivity, system integration, and design review issues. Manage the technical issues for the $250 million project to save energy and obtain power quality information. Successfully negotiated AMI wide area connectivity with CNIC. The NW is one of the only commands that have AMI meters reporting.• Implement DISA security controls on ICS network to obtain Navy certification and Authority to Operate (ATO).
