During this time I was involved in the development of the Open Energy Networks Strategy as facilitated by Energynetworks Australia. I drove the development of the project scope, design standards and facilitated engagement with suppliers for the development of the first smart (digital) substation in Australia. I had oversight of technology trials like increasing the hosting capacity of DER on the network and demand management by voltage reduction at substations. I successfully led the development of strategic asset management plans that fed into the corporate strategic and asset investment plans. I also managed the bush fire mitigation program to the satisfaction of the regulator.- The best ever network performance was recorded during this time- A sustainable saving of $3m p.a. was achieved by utilising smart meter data for asset condition monitoring through the application of data analytics- Initiated asset strategies for significant cost savings in asset replacement activities
