I’m a curious, driven scientist that is passionate about nature and the environment, both marine and terrestrial.My Master’s thesis investigated the interaction of kaka parrots with the urban environment of Wellington City. Specifically, this investigated kaka resource selection in the urban environment and the relationship between residential feeding, property damage and the attitudes towards kaka.I thoroughly enjoy working with and analysing data and finding patterns. Experience with R programming and GIS to explore and present environmental data.Previously in the Biodiversity Information Management team at the Department of Conservation, which processes field data on New Zealand’s birds and introduced predators.Currently in the Graduate Development Programme at MPI, working in Fisheries Science. My research is exploring the fuel use and Greenhouse gas emissions of our commercial fishing vessels.
