With my 10 years plus experience in transport, warehousing, distribution and for online logistics (FMCG), I feel I'm a well- rounded individual when it comes to logistics overall.I have been fortunate that Pick N Pay has offered me with the task to start up a logistics online shopping division within Pick N Pay nationally. I have succeeded and the growth I have experienced not only in my career but also as a person, is phenomenal. Through building positive relationships with regional managers, staffs, hubs, drivers, service providers, too many to mention, along with dedication, hard work; we, not I have been able to make this happen.     I had the great challenge to create a national logistics online delivery department. I had to do all the groundwork and put everything into place and build this division, starting with the foundation, when I commenced at PNP and I was able to successfully create the logistics division for online deliveries nationally after 3 months. I also relocated to JHB to ensure the success of the Online logistics division.Furthermore, I was able to grow this division within Pick N Pay, from transport fleet, procedures and budgets. I also introduced a KPI of 97% on time and in full delivery for the first year, that we achieved. The online logistics team managed to achieve a 98% on time and in full for the following year. The benchmark has been set to 99% on time and in full for this year, which we will achieve when we manage to implement further procedures with suppliers etc. Duties:• All of the below from MR Delivery In addition:• Ensuring KPI’s are met nationally regarding on time and in full delivery• Implementing of procedure to avoid loss of business / stock and delays• Implementing delivery tracking module to increase visibility on customer orders and achieve on time in full delivery• Compile SOP’s and update them every 6 months• Source logistics third party service provider to launch PNP logistics nationally and manage the service providers on a continuous bases to ensure performance • Establishing, in what areas there are potential growth in order to set up new branches• Set up procedures with call centre to avoid late deliveries and to assist with rescheduling of customer orders when the need arises.• Compile Reports on budgets, maintenance, re-scheduled orders, cost per branch, to name a few.• Manage a national team of 195 people• Manage a fleet of 114 vehicles (tuk tuks / 8-ton trucks and bakkies)• Manage 33 branches nationally• Manage of all insurance claims nationally• Approve and manage overtime
