Manage and oversee: Day-to-Day activities of Quality Controllers. – Ensure that QC’s are conducting all tasks required of them as per their job descriptions and that all documentation to be checked and completed by the QC’s are checked and signed.Part of the FSQMS team: Attend Monthly FSQMS meetings, Conduct monthly internal Hygiene audits (And give thorough, detailed, concise feedback and raising of NCR’s), Conduct monthly raw material tracebacks (And give thorough, detailed, concise feedback and raising of NCR’s), Conduct monthly product tracebacks (And give thorough, detailed, concise feedback and raising of NCR’s). NPD: Run trials, sending kitchen / factory trial samples to customers, completing 4P documents, Artwork briefs, recipes, sending of travel tests, gold seals, taint tests, conducting shelf-life validation testing and feedback, compiling product specifications and loading onto Pathfinder, compiling of final product quality standards and give training Manage and oversee: Day-to-Day requirements of the on-site laboratory – Ensure that the lab is kept clean at all times, that all equipment used inside the lab are calibrated as required (With records kept) and in good, clean, functioning condition. Ensure that all lab staff are trained on relevant procedures and that all consumable & chemicals used in the lab are available and in stock at all times to prevent downtime to production. Ensure that lab procedures which are in place are compliant with relevant legislation. Training: Conduct training on the following procedures – Sorting, Sieving, Metal detection, Quality assurance procedures, Allergen management & Swabbing, Cleaning & Final product quality standards as/when new staff are appointed or annually as part of refresher training.
