Accountable for the delivery of a portfolio of programmes and projects relating to International and Domestic Payments, and associated Regulatory requirements, focussed on Africa for the following countries; Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Ghana, Mauritius, Seychelles, Uganda, Kenya. Most notable is programme manager for the delivery of the Barclays Bank PLC separation of all Africa Payments and Sanctions systems and operations to Absa. Lead, develop, mentor, reward and recognize skilled project professionals to collectively achieve results through formal and informal performance development activities. Identify opportunities, determine scope, plan initiatives and develop business cases and contribute to the debate on solutions, approaches and strategies. Mobilize project teams through effective workforce planning, drive quality programme and project management, and ensure effective cost and governance.Drive execution and delivery performance through quality metrics and clear communication. Accountable for commercial management of programmes in the portfolio. Determine targets and take accountability for the overall achievement of performance objectives in the area in terms of employee satisfaction, customer experience, cost performance, return on investments, risk, compliance and governance requirements. Prepare and/or review, and present reports prepared for key initiatives and write the executive summaries for those programmes based on the key risks, issues and milestones. Manage key stakeholders across the business by ensuring their issues, objectives and priorities are reflected in the agreed solutions.

Accountable for the delivery of a portfolio of programmes and projects relating to International and Domestic Payments within South Africa and our footprint across the Rest of Africa for the following areas; Group Payments Domestic and International Operations, Payments Products, Regulatory (FinSurv, PASA, Bankserv). Lead, develop, mentor, reward and recognize a skilled team of project professionals to collectively achieve results through formal and informal performance development activities. These include Project and Programme managers, Business Analysts, Test Analysts, SME’s and Process Analysts as well as the managers for these areas.Identify opportunities, determine scope, plan initiatives and develop business cases and contribute to the debate on solutions, approaches and strategies.Mobilize project teams through effective workforce planning, drive quality programme and project management, and ensure effective cost and governance.Drive execution and delivery performance through quality metrics and clear communication.Create and embed a vision for the portfolio within the context of strategic direction and priorities. Accountable for operational and commercial management of the area with rigorous cost control. Determine targets and take accountability for the overall achievement of performance objectives in the area in terms of employee satisfaction, customer experience, cost performance, return on investments, risk, compliance and governance requirements. Prepare and/or review, and present reports prepared for key initiatives and write the executive summaries for those programmes based on the key risks, issues and milestones.
