After having textile printing as a hobby for a couple of years I decided start up a small scale screen printing business in Uppsala. The company has grown steadily since the start, but it is currently put on hold since I live abroad in Beijing. Has taught me a lot about entrepreneurship, accounting, tax regulations and customer relations.

Contributed to a genome project led by Prof. Siv Andersson with the goal of identifying characteristics of lactic acid bacteria present the gut of honey bees, and locate traits which might impact bee health. Apart from genome annotation, assembly quality control and phylogenetic analysis of CRISPR systems, I also developed a novel approach to visualize horizontal gene transfer in bacteria.

Uppsala Union of Science and Engineering Students (UTN), is a union for all students at the Faculty of Science and Technology at Uppsala University. UTN is a non-political, non-profit organisation. With nine full-time remunerated students UTN coordinates and directs the work to improve and safeguard the education and study environment for the 9 000 students at the faculty. UTN also handles labour market affairs and leisure activities such as the River rafting in the Fyris river each Valborg and the labour fair Utnarm.

Developed a model for predicting proteinprotein interactions. My responsibilities was to collect and standardize interaction data and to implement different methods for comparing protein properties. Worked with R, MySQL and Python.
