About Johan Inborr

Johan Inborr joined Medivir in August 2009. Johan obtained his Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry from the University of Helsinki, Finland, in 1994. He then gained extensive international experience within biotechnology and drug development as head of R&D (Finnfeeds International Ltd., UK), head of marketing and sales (Finnsugar GmbH, Germany) and head of R&D and business development (Svenska Foder AB, Sweden). From 2000 to 2002, Johan held the position as President and CEO of AstaCarotene AB, a Swedish biotechnology and pharmaceutical development company. He then moved on to head the business development departments of Medicarb AB (novel wound management products) and Carmeda AB (non-thrombogenic medical coatings), both Swedish medical device companies. Prior to joining Medivir, Johan held the position as VP Sales and Marketing of Vironova AB – a viral diagnostics and anti-viral drug development company in Stockholm, Sweden, and before that Johan was VP Business Development of Innoventus Project AB – a drug and medical device development company located in Uppsala, Sweden.Specialties: Business development, deal structure development and negotiation, marketing and sales planning and execution, communication, general management, asset valuation, market research, etc. within the life science industry.
