I gained a variety of valuable experience during my time as a student intern including:• Coordinating silent auction donations for the 2017 Fur-ball Gala, an event which raised a record $1.2+ million dollars.• Weekly television appearance on Kansas City FOX 4 news segment local featuring adoptable dogs.• Wrote 10 correspondence documents designed for the general public and donors.• Lead tours of the Wayside Waifs facility.• Provided staff support to the Humane Education Department directly working with children in local schools with the No More Bullying! program • Experience with the program BidPal

During my time with Compassion Without Borders I was able to gain experience through:• Developing a bequest brochure to inform potential donors of this option.• Extensive prospect research to aid fundraising campaigns.• Conducting marketing research to aid in determining best practices for future fundraising.• Assisting in a major capital campaign and peer to peer campaigns raising over $27,000.• Assisting in the execution of the 2016 year end campaign.

During this time I had the privilege of serving a brand new chapter of Pets for Vets recently founded in Kansas City, MO in the following capacities.• Assisted in the promotion of Pets for Vets presence at the Barktober 2016 pet event.• Advised the chapter on best practices to develop branding in the Kansas City area.• Actively partook in fundraising and business development.

I served as a flight crew member and mission coordinator while aboard Fleet Logistics Squadron 57. During this time my responsibilities included:• Leading and mentoring junior Sailors in my chain of command.• Coordinating and tracking all squadron missions including location, personnel, and aircraft conditions.• Tracking and documenting Aircrew flight hours and qualifications.• Processing messages incoming and outgoing to and from the squadron.• Ensured personnel and their gear was accounted for on all flights.• Created daily flight schedule and maintained flight manuals.
