As an in vitro oncology early drug discovery intern at Pfizer, I investigated the mechanism of action for small molecule compounds that target cancer cells. I leveraged CRISPR Cas9 targeted knockouts and in vitro 96 well proliferation assay techniques to observe dose-response and identify potential candidates for further development.I have a BS in Health Sciences (Pre-med) with a concentration in Biology from The Ohio State University, where I gained extensive laboratory research experience in molecular biology, such as PCR, qPCR, nucleic acid isolation, protein isolation, and many others. I also served as a graduate research and teaching associate at Miami University, where I contributed to projects on regeneration and its impacts on macrophage polarization. My goal is to pursue research opportunities that combine my passion for biomolecular and cellular biology with my skills as a scientist that will address the unmet medical needs present in disease.
