About John Ansohn

I have been taking care of people since I became a Navy Hospital Corpsman in 1969. After being discharged , I attended Baylor College of Medicine's P.A. Program in Houston ,Texas. I practiced as a PA and taught at UTMB/Galveston over the next 6 years, during which I obtained a Master's Degree in Psychology from The University of Houston in 1980. In 1981 I was accepted into Medical School at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, and Graduated Cum Laud in 1985. My Residency was at North East Hospital in Bedford, Texas, and I became Board Certified in FP in 1992. I owned and worked my Family Practice Clinic in Southlake , Texas up until I decided to aquire the experience necessary to practice Emergency Medicine, and became a full time EM Physician @ Baylor Regional Medical Center, from 1997-2011. In 2008 I was recognized and awarded the title of "Fellow", by the American College of Emergency Physicians. From 2011-2019, I have worked in Stand-Alone-Emergency Centers, as a Staff Physician, Medical Director, and Regional Director; first for Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, and currently as a Staff ER Physician at SurePoint Emergency Center in Weatherford, Texas
