Instructor RequirementsCredentialsA firearms safety instructor shall be considered to be a qualified firearms safety instructor by any Missouri sheriff issuing a concealed carry permit pursuant to sections 571.101 to 571.121 RSMo if the instructor:Is a valid firearms safety instructor certified by the National Rifle Association holding a rating as a personal protection instructor or pistol marksmanship instructor; orSubmits a photocopy of a notarized certificate from a firearms safety instructor’s course offered by a local, state, or federal governmental agency; orSubmits a photocopy of a notarized certificate from a firearms safety instructor course approved by the department of public safety; orHas successfully completed a firearms safety instructor course given by or under the supervision of any state, county, municipal, or federal law enforcement agency; orIs a certified police officer firearms safety instructor.VerificationInstructors must be verified so that their students’ training certificates will be accepted. To do this, instructors can either submit their credentials directly to the sheriff of each county where their students reside (at no cost), or they may instead choose to register to be included in the statewide database of verified instructors for a $10 annual fee.To register for the statewide database, instructors need to furnish a copy of their valid instructor certification(s), a course outline signed by the instructor and notarized, and a photo of the instructor to their local sheriff only (in the county where the instructor resides), along with the $10 annual registration fee. Registration is only good for the calendar year; instructors who wish to remain in this database must continue to register annually. Any instructor registered in the statewide database shall be presumed by ALL sheriffs to be a valid instructor, unless a sheriff has reason to believe otherwise.

This position is responsible for investigating and identifying fraudulent transactions. Common fraudulent transactions include account takeover, identity theft and usage fraud. As a member of Charter’s Fraud Department, you will be tasked with mitigating fraud by utilizing current operational processes and recommending new processes as needed. The successful candidate will support the development, analysis and testing of new fraud strategies, partnering with business unit subject matter experts, as well as operations partners, to create new approaches and improve risk mitigation performance. The candidate will also be responsible for generating the quantitative analysis necessary for data-driven business recommendations

The duties of a Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) assistant commander extend past selecting, training, disciplining, and leading the team, to include involvement in such areas as budget, equipment, and department policies. The Assistant CERT commander is responsible for developing and revising procedures regarding use of the team. The Assistant CERT commander also deals with obtaining the equipment that team members will need to safely and effectively perform their assigned duties. Acquiring this equipment may often require balancing team needs and budgetary constraints. The Assistant CERT commander is also involved in personnel selection and training. Finally, the Assistant CERT commander is responsible for leading the team, setting team goals, and serving as a role model by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and fairness.

Typical responsibilities: trains correctional staff regarding facility rules, procedures, and specific post duties; assigns work and inspects posts to ensure officers are performing properly; evaluates officer performance based on established work standards; mediates officer disputes; identifies needs and provides feedback to faculty Director.
