During the past 15 years with Bluewater I have been heavily involved with 6 FPSO projects.Glas Dowr FPSO on Durward and Dauntless for Amerada HessBleo Holm FPSO on Ross and Parry for TalismanBleo Holm FPSO on Blake for British GasGlas Dowr FPSO on Sable for PetroSAAoka Mizu FPSO on Ettrick for NexenGlas Dowr FPSO on Kitan for ENIDuring this period I have usually reported directly to the VP FPSO Operations. Within Bluewater greater emphasis is placed on asset ownership throughout the project phase. We have a completely integrated approach to each project with operations being the ultimate customer. Cooperation between the various project groups is key to the successful outcome of any project. I have held several positions during this period from Operations Superintendent offshore, Offshore Installation Manager, Operations Support Manager, Commissioning Manager and presently Asset/Base Manager. All of these positions involved working with each project from initial tender phase, design, construction, commissioning and final acceptance of the completed FPSO. I have been based at the following yards during the construction phases of the various projects:Tees Offshore Base, Teesside – Glas Dowr – 12 months operational support and recruitment of offshore personnelUIE Glasgow – Bleo Holm – 18 months operational input and support during design and constructionAker McNulty, Tyneside – Bleo Holm Blake – 14 months operational support for design then Commissioning Manager SA5, Cape Town – Glas Dowr – 14 months operational support during design, OIM then Commissioning Manager. At first oil became Asset/base manager in Cape Town for project durationVerolme, Rotterdam (twice) – Glas Dowr and Aoka Mizu – OIM Glas Dowr, commissioning manager for Aoka MizuSembawang, Singapore (twice) – Glas Dowr and Aoka Mizu – Operations support manager Glas Dowr (16 months) Commissioning manager Aoka Mizu (12 months)
