I lead one of 3 Global process development teams within Ciba.

I have three teams reporting to me in Bradford UK, Memphis Tennessee, and Suffolk Virginia. Reporting to the segment Head of R & D and the UK Managing Director.Ciba is a global speciality chemical producer with a turn over of 6000 mCHF a year. It supplies a wide range of different industries, in particularly water, paper, textiles, colour, plastics, personal care, and surface coating. It is run as three global segments, Water and Paper Treatments (WPT), Plastic Additives and Coating Effects.

Reporting to functionally to the Global Head of Process Development Polymer WPT and locally to the site manager.Responsible for the design and operation of all pilot facilities, new product introduction, Production improvement and novel process technology.

Reporting to functionally to the Global Head of Engineering and locally to the technical operation head.

The responsibilities of my team were process innovation, process design, control, instrument and electrical design, process safety and front-end project management,.Reporting to functionally to the Engineering Manager.

Project Technical Manager (BETA) Acrylicsmanaged the due diligence and technical acquisition from Shell of a new process technology (8 figure sum).
