Retail product buyer for Answers in Genesis including the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum

Lead museum retail daily operations. I've consulted for initial store plan, developed early vendor relationships, purchased for the store, helped to develop bestselling products (including teaching content), built nationally recognized displays, developed a solid staff with very low turnover, and advised other bookstores. As our organizations flourishes we've added another location: Ark Encounter and we now have a new, dedicated Product Buyer for both locations. My role has changed more to operations, but I still help in various roles as needed.Left in December 2021 on good terms.

I worked at Family Christian Stores starting as a sales associate in 1980 at store 95 in Franklin, Ohio.I was store manager at store 41 in Kettering, Ohio then store 82 in Cincinnati, Ohio (Eastgate) from July 1987 to June of 2005.I was a Merchandising Team Leader for remodels and new store openings in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Virginia, Michigan, and West Virginia. At its apex the chain had 300+ stores. It closed in 2017.
