Operation Supervisor
CurrentThe Big Ten Network is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in Chicago, IL. The Operations Manager will primarily be responsible for asset management and logistics of the Big Ten Network’s equipment inventory. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for initiating an asset management system that will keep a record of all owned and rented production assets and equipment, plan for its usage at the Network’s headquarters in Chicago or remote, and book shipping directly with network-approved vendors. This asset management system must be accessible to the Big Ten Network management team and should be updated daily or as equipment and asset location change.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESImplement and maintain an RFID or similar scanning system for all Big Ten Network production assets and equipment, and rental equipment as possibleWork alongside the production operations and engineering teams to tag, log, and scan all production equipment in the engineering core, control rooms, graphics room, QC room, B1G+ operations center, MICR trucks, football packages, at third-party vendors (e.g. Texolve, Rush Media), and all other remote assets and equipmentDevelop a system where broken equipment can be logged and flagged and initiate a process with production operations and engineering for repairsPhoto document all assets and equipment, along with any applicable instruction manuals necessary, including the outside and inside of each case/box that remote equipment is stored inManage packing, labeling, and shipping process of all equipment needed on remoteEnsure every case or box with equipment is packed with an inventory list and instruction manual, when applicableProvide shipping reports and communication to all remote Tech/Operations ManagersMaintain documentation of all shipping reports, BOLs, inventory lists, RFID scans, or similar, in a shared accessible folder on BoxMaintain equipment storage areas at Network headquarters in Chicago.
