Building on his history with IBM, John took a partner role with Xceed Group aimed at growing a relationship with IBM globally, with a specific focus on partnering with IBM's traditional data center infrastructure management outsource accounts to improve CSAT, revenue, and profitability. Responsible for founding and building out of the FIMS business, and management of regional sales and delivery teams, full P/L ownership, and achievement of growth and margin targets. Grew business from $1.4M to $10M in three years. Piloted initial program to train veterans for IT.

Initially established agreements with IBM procurement in all three regions, and brokered partner relationships with IBM hardware, software, and strategic outsourcing organizations. Implemented presales model, delivery model, operations and PMO model, and created a team/matrix based sales and delivery model engineered for variable staffing to drive flexibility and profitability.

After the acquisition of Novus by IBM, was the Sales Executive responsible for integrating and growing US Sales. Developed regional training and solution-selling support model. Integrated organization sold an asset-based portfolio of enterprise storage and backup optimization offerings. Responsible for development of sales strategies, training, internal and external marketing and development of intellectual capital. Made IBM 100% Club first year.

Served at Novus in a variety of positions. Initial focus was on Federal Sales and direct financial services sector customers. Helped invent Novus’ proprietary delivery methodology, Xcelleration. Later was responsible for developing and owning the corporate relationships with IBM, Sun, EDS, EMC, and HDS, and led Novus’ 2007 launch in EMEA. After establishing the partner sales organization, kicked off the sales organization for our new software which provided financial transparency of IT assets to LOB ownership and usage. Was personally responsible for closing key sales at JPMC, BP, Fidelity, and CapitalOne. Eventually, was a key executive during the IBM acquisition of Novus in 2007.
