Blair is responsible for directing a number of NJN’s external initiatives as they relate to revenue generation, partnerships, and fostering key relationships. He supervises the Media Productions department, which is one of NJN’s key strategic line operations intended to generate unrestricted revenue and enhance the overall operation of the company. In addition, Blair supervises the Membership fundraising activities of the NJN Foundation. Blair came to NJN Public Television with an extensive background in non-profit management, broadcasting and production. Prior to joining NJN he was Senior Vice President, Broadcasting, Operations & Planning for WITF, Inc. in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. WITF is a public broadcasting station with a strong reputation in production and entrepreneurial activities. During his tenure there, Blair led an extensive service and enterprise group that included; television and radio production for both state and national clients, creation and syndication of nationally distributed television series, the development and management of a C-Band Satellite Uplink and related teleconferences for business clients, extensive remote production work, the acquisition and management of a commercial radio network, and the construction and operation of a narrowcast distance learning network. He is a 1974 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A in Mass Communications, and has completed post-graduate course work for a Masters of Business Administration at the Pennsylvania State University.
