Responsible for the formation of the global indirect material and services organization overseeing 2 billion dollars of spend. My responsibility included the development of a 3-5 year strategy supporting year over year incremental productivity though the development of an increased savings pipeline and leveraging of global spend to support Business Unit and functional department objectives. The organization consisted of 3 regional managers, 7 commodity specialist and 140 tactical personnel to support 73 manufacturing facilities and corporate functional departments globally. Key initiatives included the development of KPI’s (key performance indicators) and deployment of lean processes, implementation of EProcurement solutions, Procure to Pay solutions and processes and VOC (Voice Of the Customer) surveys assuring alignment of regional and global team activity to support continuous KPI improvements in Cost, Delivery and quality of services to end customers.

My responsibilities included Re-organization of the Americas commodity team structure in support of corporate and Business Unit objectives on shared service support strategically and tactically. The operation consisted of 50 employees. John supported the development of processes and procedures to drive continuous improvements in Key performance indicators of Cost, Quality and Delivery. Led key global initiatives in the areas of Web based Supplier Score Carding, Payment term consolidation, Report dashboards and career subcommittee supporting the CPO on process development and the eventual formation of a global center led procurement organization to manage key commodities and services globally.

Led key initiatives in lean programs to improve supply chain metrics in cost quality and delivery, development of emerging market suppliers, preferred supplier list, advanced manufacturing function and support on compliance initiatives for ROHS, REACH, supplier diversity and supplier social responsibility.
