New Energy Colorado is a 501c3 NGO focused on energy and sustainability, and providing information and outreach to support actionable grassroots response to our climate crisis, Each year we host and produce the Metro Denver Green Homes Tour in conjunction with the ASES (American Solar Energy Society) national tour. We also promote Solar CitiSuns, our free newsletter and opportunity to stay informed and be ready to support good policy and call out bad policy.

Recent projects include energy industry think tank and market mapping for Google X (aka "the Moonshot Factory"). I served 7 years on the Board of COSEIA's Policy Committee and am immediate past president for 2 terms. This has exposed me to both the mechanics and the “player dynamics” of state and national renewable policy. A thought leader, out of box thinker and relationship builder. Former owner of a CO based solar company that designed, sold and installed smart home technology, adding PV solar to our product mix in 2009. We specialized in working with national and regional production new home builders, the leading solar firm serving the production home builder market. I currently do national municipal and commercial development work for a boutique solar developer here which exposes me to renewable programs in many other states. Also, I am on the faculty at Ecotech Institute an unusual renewable energy college here. My earlier career in Corporate Development with Liberty Media / TCI (now Comcast) and working with John Malone gave me big picture skills and experience working from a market leader, scale perspective and exploring out of the box business modeling and M&A alignments.

Representing Petros PACE Finance in Colorado to fund Commercial PACE Projects. Petros is among a small group of Qualified Capital Providers for Colorodos C-PACE Program. Petros funded Colorado's first C-PACE project in 2016. It was also Co-funded the $40M C-PACE project for Verity Health Systems in California in May 2017, the largest PACE funding project in the US. Petros has significant institutional backing, virtually unlimited capital to lend, and was founded by a team with a collective 60+ years of experience in building and assisting companies with strategic capital, advice, and strong business relationships. They have been heavily involved in the PACE market since 2010 and have played a major role in the implementation of many PACE programs.

As PACE (Property Accessed Clean Energy) funding launches in Colorado for both Commercial and Residential projects, Ygrene Energy Fund is now operational and John is the Colorado regional market leader. Ygrene is a leading national provider of PACE funding programs with deep expertise in both residential and commercial markets in multiple states and regions. The Rocky Mountain region is an emerging market for Ygrene and John will establish business operations, channel partners and deal flow in the state. Commercial PACE projects are currently live and counties are opting in covering over 50% of the state's population as of 4th quarter 2016.
