I am a dedicated IT professional currently within the Information Technology section at the VDOT Culpeper District office, where I play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operation and support for wireless devices, VTC equipment, and other critical IT infrastructure. With a focus on problem management and troubleshooting, I contribute actively to initiatives aimed at meeting statewide performance metrics while maintaining IT assets across a district serving 9 counties and over 600 users.My experience spans involvement in key projects such as the on-going Electronic Bulletin Board replacement project, VDOT Accelerated network, and the Tech Fluency initiative. These projects have sharpened my ability to implement and support advanced technologies that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.Networking forms a significant part of my responsibilities, where I collaborate closely with Central Office Networking Services, Verizon, Comcast, Shentel, Sedra, and other local ISPs to maintain and enhance district-level networking architecture. I conduct site surveys, recommend network data drops and equipment placements, and manage the installation and maintenance of CAT and fiber optic cables to support our networking backbones. Furthermore, I am responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive network topology drawings for 16 Area Headquarters, 3 Residencies, and our District Complex, ensuring clear documentation and effective management of our network infrastructure.I currently hold industry certifications with CompTIA and have hands-on experience with a variety of networking products such as Cisco router and switches. Additionally, I'm working on completing my bachelors in Cloud Computing with George Mason University with an expected graduation date of May 2026.
