Since joining the workforce as a Journalist with The West Australian newspaper in January 1970, I have been continuously and actively engaged in the communications industry, applying my unique and broad range of award-winning talents and skillset in creative writing, editing, photography, production and management to tasks for print and electronic media.Bryant Media’s client list has included Newcrest Mining Ltd, Pilbara Logistics, Mindarie Regional Council, the Town of Cambridge, Geraldton fishermen’s Cooperative, Lombardo Marine, MG Kailis Group, Gardner Perrott Group, the Eyre Highway Operators Association (Nullarbor Links Golf Course Project), the WA Department of Sport and Recreation, and the Western Australian Cricket Association.I have been fortunate to work extensively during the past 12 years with Newcrest Mining Ltd’s Community Relations Unit at the Telfer Gold Mine. That work involves developing strategies and designing and implementing event, print and electronic media programs and publicity to support the Martu People in their pursuit of healthier lifestyles, improved education standards and meaningful occupation for their communities.

I am currently in my fifth year as Chairman of Southern Cross Care (WA) Inc, a Catholic-based charity (NFP) of which I have been a Board Member for the past 24 years.Southern Cross Care (WA), established in 1966, has since developed into one of the largest and leading aged care providers in WA offering care, support and accommodation to over 3,000 West Australians, extending into the Pilbara, and with a gross annual turnover of more than $60 million.Additionally, I am currently in my third year as National Chairman of the federation of State-based Southern Cross Care organisations. In that role I have I played a leading role in helping to create more collaborative ventures for the States, enhance the national body's brand, minimise duplication, and reduce costs through improved positioning when purchasing products and services.

In August 2014 I was appointed as one of two new Independent Directors of the Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation. The Thalanyji People have a number of significant native title agreements with resource companies working in the Pilbara region.As an Independent Director I contributed to the Board's deliberations and provide strategic advice in key areas to help ensure that management decisions were consistent with promoting the interests of the BTAC members.I look forward to using my blend of experience gained through my Bryant Media consulting and work as National Chairman of Southern Cross Care to create a lasting benefit for the Thalanyji People.My goal is to do more work in this area so I would welcome any introductions.
