My name is John Barden a passionate and motivated double major in Economics (BS) and Political Science (BA) student at Purdue University. I'm enthusiastic about international relations and national security and eager to make a positive impact in the public sector. I am also proud to be a part of the Defense Civilian Training Corps (DCTC) where I will spend my final two years at Purdue University learning more about military acquisitions and bureaucracy. This program will allow me to expand my current knowledge and understanding while building a foundation of knowledge about military acquisitions to use in the future.Pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, I thrive on learning new skills quickly and adapting to a new challenge and situations. My coursework has equipped me with a solid foundation in international relations, counterterrorism, national security, public policy, legislation, and communication. During my academic journey, I've written a report on counterterrorism for domestic terrorism, participated in research with the State Department, made the Dean's List, and been voted into leadership in my various clubs.I am particularly interested in counterterrorism and national security.
