As a MFLC I provide the full breadth of MFLC (Military Family Life Counseling) counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations.

Employed as an independent Licensed Professional Counselor.

Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation which impact positively our risk-adjusted patient mortality index and risk-adjusted patient complications index. Reviews clinical documentation to assure that the documentation supports services provided to the patient and supports appropriate reimbursement for the level of services rendered to patients. Makes suggestions for documentation improvement through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient caregivers, case managers and coding staff. Ensures that the documentation reflects the acuity of the patient and the patient’s severity of illness. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician, hospital and core measure outcomes. Educates members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis.

Under the direction of the Director of Student Counseling I provide direct clinical and crisis prevention services to students, emphasizing the psychological, emotional, academic and social development of the college population. This holistic approach is integrated into services in order to promote student success and retention.

Employed as an independent Licensed Associate Professional Counselor/Licensed Professional Counselor.

Responsible for completing bio-psychosocial assessments and facilitating group and individual therapy sessions for patients.

Provide Multi-Systemic Family Therapy for youth and families involved in the Department of Juvenile Justice system.

Provide skills building/therapy for youth and families involved in the Department of Family and Children Services system.
