My name is John Carew I am a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I am studying Building and Construction Technology and Business. My GPA is currently a 3.4 and being on the dean's list for two semesters shows my dedication to my school and work ethic to excel in this field. Throughout my academic journey I have focused on courses that have given me a solid foundation in construction principles, project management, and sustainability. Some of these courses being energy efficient housing, sustainable building and systems, Project management, and communications. I am currently looking for a summer 2025 intership with the main focus of being a project manager or superintendent type roles. My work experiences has provided me with skills in communication, teamwork, and customer service. As a busser at the Falmouth Yacht Club I have been challenged to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while ensuring satisfaction. My role as a Coach for O’Sullivan Hockey has equipped me with the skills of teamwork and leadership which I believe are very important in the Construction industry. Additionally I am OSHA 10 Certified and expecting ProCore project management certification at the end of the fall semester which are preparing me for in field and on site construction experience.
