Boulder Station Hotel and Casino, Palace Station Hotel and CasinoPalace Station: Worked in Main Kitchen preparing, but not limited to, soups, sauces, proteins, entrees and main dishes, in support of the Buffet and Team Member Dining Room as On Call and then Part Time Team Member. Accepted Full Time Team Member Position in Cafe, cooking to-order menu items, as well as daily specials. Applied for and accepted bid to cook in Cabo, a Mexican cuisine restaurant. Unfortunately, Cabo was closed in anticipation of the extensive remodel on the east side of Palace Station. Ultimately, I transferred to Boulder Station.Boulder Station: Started in the Cafe working various shifts, cooking breakfast, lunch dinner menu items, along with daily specials. Bid for and accepted position as an Asian Cook in Live Wok Kitchen at Feast Buffet. During that time, I worked with the Room Chef to develop and adapt recipes to put into the daily menu rotation, in order to give out guests a constantly changing diversity of foods. All Team Members in the Feast Buffet were laid off due to the COVID-19 Virus close down and the uncertainty of when, or if, it would open again.
