Working as the technical support for the sales team at CKF Systems. The job involved the design, layout drawing and quotation for multi million pound automation and robotics systems. As one off systems, this involved a large amount of communication with third party suppliers to understand the capability of systems to be integrated into PLC control systems. The job involved calculating the throughput and capacity of the systems, as well as calculating the associated design and build costs. The role also involved the writing of proposals for the quotations. The work in this field allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the robotics industry. In turn, this allowed me to take on a new role as a project engineer at CKF systems, allowing me to apply my project management experience into the robotics and automation industry.

I worked as an Industrial project engineer. Responsibilities included project management, technical sales, on site commissioning of both electrical and mechanical systems and engineering design.The job covered a broad range of responsibilities and included international travel.
