John is a partner in the Addleshaw Goddard Manchester Construction team and has over 30 years experience of working with and in the UK construction industry. After a decade in private practice, John worked in-house as legal adviser for Mowlem plc and Lendlease, involved on projects such as Salford Media City and several large PFI schemes. John was also General Counsel for the Fulcrum Group, a leading utilities business. Schemes he has worked on include New Scotland Yard, a number of student accommodation and PRS developments, office developments, PFI/PPP projects and several contracts to bring gas to whisky distilleries in Scotland. As an experienced purchaser of legal services himself, John is very aware of the need to provide clients with commercial, timely and cost effective legal advice. He negotiates and advises on many forms of construction and engineering contracts, appointments, warranties and security documents and has extensive experience of all major forms of dispute resolution, including litigation and adjudication.
